Romantic Stroll through Old San Juan for an Engagement Session

Engagement Photo Session in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

Kim & Brian visited Puerto Rico as the starting point on their spring break cruise vacation. They searched for a photographer in Puerto Rico that offered Engagement photo sessions. After having described themselves as a laid-back & fun couple, I knew we were a perfect match for their Love Story.

They thought it would be fun to have their engagement photos taken in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. I’ve been walking those cobblestone streets ever since I was a little girl; my dad has always worked there, and I grew up learning all the hidden alleys and picturesque streets Old San Juan has to offer.

Photographer in Puerto Rico who knows Old San Juan

This knowledge was really useful for their engagement session, because it was Good Friday. After I finished the session my mom told me something I didn’t know before: there’s a Catholic tradition to peregrinate seven churches every Good Friday, and since San Juan has at least ten, it was literally packed. I chose to do a tour off the beaten path and I came out with one of my favorite engagement photosets ever!

It was a beautiful, not-too-hot-not-too-cold afternoon. It drizzled a little rain near the end, which in result gave us a beautiful sunset -cloudy skies will do that for you-, which we took advantage of for a glorious final shot with El Morro as the perfect backdrop.

There’s a reason Camille has 5 stars! I have researched the heck out of every vendor (just to give you an idea…I can stand on a grocery aisle for 30 minutes and compare laundry detergents) and trust me, book right now or you will be disappointed when your date isn’t available. I’m a hard person to impress but when I saw Camille’s work, it spoke to me and I knew I had to work with her! I was so anxious on whether or not she would be available for our engagement session! We were visiting PR for a few days before departing on a cruise and she took us on a tour around Old San Juan during our session. My fiance and I both hate being the center of attention and were pretty nervous but she made it so fun and easy. We had planned on taking balloons as props but that didn’t work out and I’m kind of glad it didn’t. Old San Juan is lovely and Camille captured it so perfectly that balloons probably would have detracted from that. The pictures were posted to a gallery even before we returned from our cruise. We have not received the fully edited pictures but the ones we’ve seen are so beautiful that I can’t imagine how the edited ones can be better!
