Some love stories unfold with a view, and Jose planned the perfect one. While planning a couples vacation with Rachel to Puerto Rico, he reached out to me to help him pull off a surprise beach engagement proposal in Rincón. I immediately knew it was going to be a beautiful one.

We coordinated every detail in advance. I would pretend to be just another beachgoer, camera in hand, casually lingering in the golden hour light right behind Tamboo.

Jose shared his location and his outfit and even sent me a photo of the exact spot on the beach where he planned to propose.

That weekend coincided with a town-wide triathlon, which made logistics a bit tricky. However, with some buffer time and a good plan, everything fell into place perfectly.

They danced barefoot on the shore, wrapped up in each other while the waves came and went. We wandered from palm trees to tidepools and rocky corners, just soaking in the soft air and how good it felt to be in love.
