When this couple initially contacted me for their Royal Isabela wedding, COVID-19 wasn't a thing. Back then, they planned to bring over their friends and family for a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. 

However, we all know what happened. Originally for Summer 2020, their wedding was caught in the crossfire amongst lockdowns and travel restrictions. 

My last time at the Royal Isabela was a few months before the pandemic for Arianne & Xavier's engagement portraits. I was looking forward to their date, as it would be my first wedding at the Royal Isabela.

After two date changes, we settled on Summer 2021 with a significant difference. Instead of a destination wedding, it now would be an elopement just for the two of them.

I met them for their getting ready at their bridal and groom suites, then moved around the property for first looks, a beautiful cliffside ceremony, and after newlywed portraits around the golf course.

After we exhausted the locations around the resort, we moved out to Playa Pastillo, a neighboring beach that was special to the couple. 

We ended the night with the first dances and dinner for just the two of them. Epic, gorgeous, and so very special.
