Intimate Destination Microwedding at Villa Montana Beach Resort

Lynette and Carlos, a couple who had already spent 17 years together, decided to take their relationship to the next level after having built a beautiful family. Their decision to get married was a significant milestone, marked by the hashtag #LynetteAndCarlosFinallyWed.

This intimate microwedding at Villa Montaña Beach Resort, devoid of a wedding party and reception, was a symbol to their love and commitment with a minimalistic approach, reminding us what's important: love and family.

They had a simple dinner reservation with their closest family and friends, and their children, who served as the ring bearer and flower girls, adding a touch of innocence and beauty to the occasion.

Destination Wedding at Villa Montaña Beach Resort

The destination for Lynette and Carlos's wedding was the picturesque Villa Montaña Beach Resort. This serene location, with its breathtaking views and tranquil atmosphere, perfectly complemented the couple's laid-back and intimate wedding style.

Stepping into Villa Montaña, I immediately sensed a different energy, a departure from the usual wedding day hustle. The atmosphere was laid-back, with family members enjoying a casual drink or exploring the resort. Lynette and her daughter were in the master room, preparing for the day with the help of Caridad Vidro. A close friend assisted Lynette in donning her dress, and the nerves began to set in. After a few portraits, I stepped out of the room, allowing Lynette a moment of calm before the ceremony, free from the camera's gaze.

That day, we learned something new the hard way: when having a bouquet featuring lilies and other flowers with pollen anthers, we must remove them from all flowers before handing them over to the bride. Luckily, Lynette's dress was blush-colored instead of white, and we could brush all the pollen off. Close call.

As the day progressed, the emotional intensity grew. Carlos's barber arrived, putting the final touches on his look. Then, Grandpa stepped in, helping him with his tie. We then proceeded to Lynette & Carlos's first look session, a moment filled with raw emotion. I maintained a respectful distance, allowing them to fully experience this poignant moment before we began their portrait session.

Eventually, it was time for the ceremony, which took place on a sunny and warm summer day. It was so beautiful; we even had wild parrots attend the ceremony and fill the silence with their happy chatter.

Newlywed Portraits at Villa Montana Beach Resort

The good thing about intimate weddings is that we can take time to have portraits of everyone who attended. So that's what we did on this occasion, after which Lynette, Carlos, and their kids walked with me to the beach for some portraits.

They brought a Puerto Rican flag, and we created some shots for these boricuas who live far away to take back home as a keepsake.

After that, we witnessed a beautiful golden hour walking around the beach till it was time for their dinner reservation, where I took some decor shots (especially of the cake that matched the dress) before I went home.

I am so happy to share this set with you and to have been a witness to such beautiful memories.

Lynette's Review

Look no further ladies.....Camille is the BEST!!!! My husband and I are from Ohio and decided on a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. Finding vendors in PR from OH was not an easy thing. I found Camille from a Google search..."best wedding photographers in Puerto Rico" and there she was. Once I saw her work I knew I had to have her as my photographer. I contacted her in October 2016 for my July 2017 wedding and luckily she was available.

Communication is a very important thing, especially when it's someone you don't know and doing it all from afar. She's very responsive in communicating. Pleasant experience all around. Book as soon as you can ladies, you will not be disappointed. The booking process is very easy. She is an absolute doll and a pleasure to work with. She's very personable, respectful, and professional and the list goes on. I saw our picture on her Instagram page and WOW!!!! I can't wait to see the edited ones!!!!!!!

My husband and I dislike attention and have never taken professional pictures, so I was a little scared but Camille made us feel so comfortable. She really is the best. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! We are beyond thankful and blessed to have had the pleasure of meeting you. THANK YOU Camille for everything!!!! Abrazos y besos!!!!!

Love, Lynette and Carlos.
