After connecting over a video call, I fell in love with Fabiola and Cristian; they were sweet and excited. We bonded over our mutual alma mater and how organized they were about their wedding planning. They had already chosen my friend Zuriel as their videographer and told me that booking a great wedding photographer was their next top priority. I'm humbled that person was me, the one to capture their wedding at El Bungalow in Aguada.

Over the following months, I saw their social media updates, as Fabiola is a content creator both on Instagram and youtube, and became very proud of their progress. She even got a collaboration with David's Bridal for her bridal look! I was so eager to live this day with them finally.

A Dreamlike Wedding Day

Our day started at an Airbnb not too far from the venue, where a smiley Fabiola, her beautiful Goldie, immediate family, and bridesmaids were getting ready. We started with the items: stationery, shoes, florals, and her gorgeous, GORGEOUS bridal gown.

Airbnbs are always a wild card for photography because, although cute, most aren't big or bright enough. Fortunately, this was not the case, so we were pretty excited about all the bridal shots we could make for her.

Although they went back and forth on the first look decision, they decided they wanted to keep that part traditional, so they chose not to see each other before the ceremony. However, we did have a first look with her bridesmaids and then her father. Next thing, we were out the door for our ceremony at El Bungalow.

El Bungalow Wedding in Aguada

At El Bungalow, I met a guy with the biggest smile ever: Cristian! He and his groomsmen were hanging around the venue, sorting out the last details. Unfortunately, their ceremony got delayed after getting the groom's portraits because we were waiting on some key guests.

Being able to switch things up is a luxury that you only have when doing the whole event in the same place. I knew we might have to shorten the cocktail hour to fall back on schedule, so I wanted to get as much done before the ceremony started. The ballroom setup was complete, so I took advantage of that and did all the decor shots then.

Finally, we were ready. Cristian and Fabiola's ceremony was very emotional and sweet: you could see everyone's chest filling with emotion for the lovebirds. Their love story is rare nowadays: two high school sweethearts grew up together as friends until it eventually became a beautiful romance.

After being finally married, we celebrated with portraits. "We could do this all day!" said Fabiola. That's how effortless, sweet, and fun their newlywed portraits were.

El Bungalow is one of the best wedding venues on the west side of Puerto Rico, with indoor/outdoor options, a great parking lot, and beautiful natural surroundings. And happening in March, during the dry season, we had perfect weather that day!

The reception started with toasts, dances, and then a fantastic party! Such a fun night!
