As a wedding photographer in Puerto Rico, I have had the privilege of capturing countless love stories. Still, there is something extraordinary about multicultural destination weddings. Each one is unique and full of exciting challenges that keep me on my toes, and Tas and Jaime's fusion wedding in Casa de España was no exception.

When I first heard from Tas and Jaime, I was thrilled to learn they came from different cultural backgrounds - Kenya and Spain. They had chosen to celebrate their union in Puerto Rico, and I couldn't wait to capture their special day's magic.

From the moment I met Tas and Jaime and their fabulous guests, I knew it would be an unforgettable experience. Their warmth and pure energy made me feel like I was part of the celebration, and I was so honored to have been chosen to capture their memories.

To ensure everything ran smoothly, I carefully planned out our photography timeline. We started our coverage in Plaza de La Catedral, where we took Tasneem and Jaime's immediate family photos, and then couples portraits on our way to Casa de España.

The streets of Old San Juan were the perfect backdrop for these intimate moments, and we took our time so we could capture them perfectly. I always recommend wearing comfortable shoes for these portraits, as it allows us to take a more leisurely pace. I'm always on the lookout for unique photo opportunities along the way.

Destination Wedding Photography in Casa de España

Once we arrived at Casa de España, we took some time to capture the decor before Tas and Jaime took a break to freshen up. Then we headed to the second level and rooftop to take some stunning portraits. These images were breathtaking, and I was so happy with how they turned out.

The ceremony began just before sunset, which provided the most beautiful lighting for the couple's exchange of vows. Following the ceremony, we moved on to family and group portraits. We took photos of the newlyweds with their immediate families from both sides and extended family members and friends. It was a lot to get through, but with careful planning, we got all the shots we needed without anyone feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

It was reception time! During our entrance, the guests twirled their napkins above their heads (per Spanish tradition). It was a fun and exciting moment to capture. We also had some fantastic singing performances, poetry and speeches by the couple and their guests, before dinner and a salsa lesson to send off the night.

As a wedding photographer, my job is to take photos and capture the essence of the day, the emotions, and the memories. It was an honor to capture Tas and Jaime's wedding, and I will always cherish the memories we created together.
