They celebrated their special day with their closest family and friends amidst the lush views of this gem within the rainforest. The micro wedding was an intimate affair, highlighting the beauty and charm of such an event, a day we will always cherish and remember.

The natural beauty of the hacienda added a unique charm, making it a perfect fit for Carmen and Max's intimate celebration.

As their photographer, capturing this couple's love story was a joy. The day began with Carmen slipping into her Mac Duggal dress, accompanied by a custom cape instead of a veil and her mom's vintage hat—all in the same blush color. The look was finished by the talented hands of Lory Ramos, who took care of hair and makeup.

After capturing some gorgeous getting-ready portraits, my focus shifted to the beautiful decor orchestrated by HS Events Planner. Florals in soft pastels perfectly accented the tropical cocktail dress code, creating a stunning backdrop for the impending ceremony.

The Beauty of Micro Weddings

At precisely 5:00 p.m., Max and Carmen walked down the aisle, and the ceremony began. What truly stood out was the genuine love and happiness shared among the small guest list. Micro weddings, such as this one, offer a unique opportunity for couples to truly cherish the moments without the usual hustle and bustle of larger weddings.

They also included their nearest and dearest in their nuptials, steering away from tradition to make the ceremony as personal and emotional as possible.

Following the ceremony, we moved on to a swift session of group portraits. This was perfectly timed, leaving just a few minutes for some romantic newlywed portraits as the sun began to set.

The reception was a delightful affair, kicked off by DJ Jimmy, who set the mood with an eclectic mix of tunes. Guests indulged in delicious food provided by Nilsa Colon and, later, sampled artisanal rums by Nativo Rumelier—a local brand offering unique blends that reflect Puerto Rico's native flavors.

However, what made this wedding truly special was its relaxed atmosphere. It felt less like a formal occasion and more like an elevated family gathering. At one point, the party transitioned into a karaoke session, featuring everyone dancing and singing to 2000s pop hits. It was a fun and unique touch, making the evening unforgettable.
