I landed in Las Vegas for my fifth year at WPPI with the intention of connecting, learning, and being inspired—but before the convention even began, I found myself photographing a love story that lit up the desert more brightly than any Vegas neon ever could.

Kamila and Brian are getting married in Puerto Rico next year, and before we dive into wedding day magic, they wanted a destination engagement session that doubled as a little test run—a way to shake off nerves, connect with me behind the camera, and celebrate this chapter in their lives.

During our location scouting consultation, Brian's passion for hiking and adventure and their shared memories in Las Vegas sparked up a conversation about meeting during my upcoming spring trip for a dual engagement session.

We started our afternoon at the breathtaking Calico Basin Trail, one of the best Red Rock Canyon photography spots for couples looking for that mix of dramatic desert landscape and peaceful, romantic seclusion.

The warm tones of the canyon walls were the perfect contrast to Kamila and Brian’s all-black wardrobe, making them pop against the rust-colored cliffs. After our desert session, we traded in nature for neon and headed to downtown Las Vegas to wrap things up. Under the electric glow of Fremont Street’s iconic lights, Kamila and Brian kept the energy going—laughing, twirling, and even goofing off at the slot machines.

What I loved most was how effortlessly they brought their joy from one setting to the next. Whether framed by red rock formations or vintage casino lights, their connection was undeniable. These two are the perfect example of how a Las Vegas engagement session can be whatever you want it to be—romantic, playful, and as unique as your love story.
