AirBNB Weddings in Puerto Rico:
Aguada Beach Microwedding

Dianna and Chris started planning their micro wedding in Puerto Rico just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic hit us. Quarantine changed our 2020 forever. They were one of the lucky few able to marry without changing their wedding date.

Some minor change of plans: Airbnb weddings in Puerto Rico

Dianna and Chris held on to their wedding plans long enough to see the Puerto Rico quarantine lifted right before their date. A close call! However, their event was initially at a hotel, and they changed venues for safety and logistical ease. Now their micro wedding in Puerto Rico would happen at an Airbnb in Aguada.

On the wedding day, I traveled to the beautiful west to their beachfront Airbnb. The day was a bit cloudy, but it never rained on us. We were so lucky!

The idea of a rainy wedding day makes most of my clients nervous. While we can select a wedding during the "dry season," tropical weather is constantly changing and always unpredictable. However, cloudy days are always the best lighting for outdoor portraits. Just a silver lining for you there!

An hour before the ceremony, we did bridal getting ready photos, decor pictures. While Dianna got ready, Chris and I scouted the beach for when we did newlywed images later.

When all guests had arrived, the ceremony started. Officiated by one of their family members, the ceremony was beautifully customized, so romantic and memorable.

When finished, we did family and group portraits before heading off to the beach with the newlyweds for their photographs. When finished, we returned to the patio area, where the DJ started the first dances right as the sunset on the horizon.

It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
