Dayna and Andrew's love story took them to warm and sunny Puerto Rico, where they celebrated their special day with a beautiful beachfront destination wedding with their nearest and dearest.

The Royal Sonesta San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico, formerly the Intercontinental Hotel, holds a special place in my heart because it was there that I had my first destination wedding back in 2011. Returning after over a decade, I was impressed by how the venue has evolved to offer an even more refined experience for couples seeking the perfect backdrop for their wedding day.

On a sunny May day, Dayna and Andrew set out to exchange vows against the picturesque backdrop of the beach and ocean. A candid photography coverage captured anticipation with a bit of madness in the hours before their wedding.

The intimate glimpses of their preparations set the tone for the rest of the day—a celebration filled with authentic connections and sincere emotions. Dayna was surrounded by a supportive group of women who offered her love, attention, and prayers. Meanwhile, Andrew spent his time with his best man and his son, his faithful little companion.

Beach Wedding Ceremony at the Royal Sonesta Puerto Rico

Their ceremony happened under the sunny skies; they shared custom vows, while friends and family had special readings, songs, and blessings for them in between the rituals.

The portraits of the newlyweds beautifully captured their personalities and emotions on their special day. The stunning architecture, lush gardens, and captivating coastline of the venue provided the perfect backdrop. As a practice, I prefer to take the couple aside from the guests right after the ceremony to continue this peaceful and loving atmosphere into their newlywed portraits. We took some shots on the beach and then moved to the resort's stunning gardens for a second set.

The evening continued with an elegant reception in a medium-sized ballroom overlooking the pools infused with romance and refinement.
