The Cutest Mini Destination Wedding at Copamarina Resort

Cute Destination Wedding at Copamarina Beach Resort

I shoot a lot of elopements, elopements+, and full destination weddings; Lauren and Jessie's day had particular elements of each one. But since it was a very thorough wedding day, I'm calling it their mini-wedding at Copamarina Beach Resort.

I met Lauren and Jessie through their amazing wedding planner Tatiana from Mia Eventos. During our coffee shop meeting, they talked about their emotional and family ties with the Islands of Puerto Rico, why they wanted to get married here, and that they wanted their destination wedding to represent their uniqueness and love. And it sure did!

It was a perfect, bright, hot summer day. After our drive to the beautiful southern town of Guanica, our day started switching between Lauren & Jessie's contiguous rooms, while they got finished. I loved watching the light and happy disposition that dominated each room independently, you could see everyone was in-tune, which I guess is the result of culling a great guest list!

After a few toasts and getting ready portraits, we took a golf cart that dropped us off right by the Ceremony site, which had only a select few chairs, a perfect beachside view, and a minimalistic botanic pergola. Lauren and Jessie's ceremony was heartfelt, intimate, and full of happiness and laughter.

We proceeded to a few group and family portraits, and even a full shot with all guests, before leaving the guests behind during their cocktail hour so we could walk around the hotel doing the newlywed portraits. It has been so long since I shot at Copamarina Beach Resort, so I definitely had fun exploring it again with such a sweet and fun couple!

Finally, after all the portraits were finished, we walked back to the ballroom, where a beautiful presidential table was set up, a jazz band was playing, and the champagne glasses were ready for the toasts and super romantic first dance. The rest of the night continued as a big family dinner, happy, light and full of love. Enjoy this set!
