Frida and Jules’s Romantic Wedding Day at Old San Juan
Although we communicated extensively through Instagram, I never met with Frida or Jules until the wedding day. So it was such a great surprise to get to know them through the lens on the happiest day of their lives.
Destination Wedding at Hotel El Convento
My day started at Frida's suite at the gorgeous colonial hotel they had selected as a venue. As I went through the florals, jewelry, and stationery, my first impressions were that every single detail selected was beautifully delicate.
Frida was not ready for portraits yet, as I had arrived a bit early, so I walked downstairs to meet with Jules and his groomsmen. They were already wearing their guayaberas (Caribbean linen shirts), so we walked through the endless balconies capturing both candids and portraits.
It was time for Frida's portraits, and since the room was neat and tidy we were able to do an extra long bridal portrait session. I loved that dress, she looked stunning!
Since we were a bit early, I went around and did a round of decor photos, which turned out to be a great idea, because we were able to extend the newlywed and family portraits after the ceremony. This is not always possible, as not all weddings are planned with enough time in between events, nor they happen all in one same venue, like Frida and Jules's.
After the happy ceremony, we walked out of the hotel for family and newlywed photos. Probably, my favorite thing about Hotel El Convento is the fact that it's located right in the heart of Old San Juan, so we don't need to walk a lot or drive anywhere for beautiful wedding portraits.
We returned back to the hotel for an amazing dinner party with lots of dancing and lots of love.
Frida & Jules: thanks for trusting me with your beautiful wedding memories, and hopefully everyday you spend together is filled of that same happiness and kindness.

Cami
