A Glorious Sunrise Elopement at El Morro, Puerto Rico
Natalie and Tyler wanted their Puerto Rico destination wedding to be all about them. So they hired a wedding officiant, a photographer, a florist, and a videographer. After a little research, they narrowed their elopement location. To avoid the crowds and the heat, they chose a sunrise elopement in El Morro Fortress.
Sunrise Newlywed Portraits in Old San Juan
We did the whole thing backward. We woke up pretty early and met at sunrise for photos and videos first, and the ceremony would follow. When I arrived, the fantastic Film Writer team was already working hard, taking some shots of the couple with the sunrise as a backdrop. We did some solo shots of each Natalie and Tyler, and then we started with their newlywed portraits before their Old San Juan Sunrise Elopement. We left San Cristobal and then walked around the old city, hunting our favorite spots for pictures, easy because everything in Old San Juan is beautiful. Especially so early, when it was all empty.
Old San Juan Sunrise Elopement Ceremony at El Morro
Our final stop on our photo session walk across the old city was El Morro Fortress. There, wedding minister Ashley Wright was waiting for us at the ceremony location. She did an amazing, soulful ceremony which, accompanied by the ocean waves and the sea breeze, gave this intimate moment a very ethereal feeling.
Congratulations on your wedding, Natalie, and Tyler, you were genuinely delightful to photograph. I wish your married life together is as romantic and happy as that first day.

Cami
