Elopement in Old San Juan’s Museo Casablanca & El Morro

A while back, I had the privilege of photographing Chelsea & Stuart's intimate elopement in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. From the moment I met them, I could tell that this was going to be a special day filled with laughter, love, and excitement.

First Look at Loiza Beach, Puerto Rico

Our day started at their beachfront vacation rental where they were getting ready, where I met their family as the couple finished dressing up. When Stuart was ready, we walked with him to the beach, where we would wait for Chelsea for their first look session.

From the minute they saw each other, I knew they would be a lovely couple to photograph: there was a lot of love and tenderness between them.

When their family was ready, we did some group portraits with them before departing to our next stop: Old San Juan.

Elopement Photos in Old San Juan

The streets of Old San Juan were lined with vibrant colors, cobblestone paths, and stunning architecture, and we stopped at some of the most magical locations to capture their memories.

One of the highlights of the day was discovering the outdoor gardens of Museo Casablanca together. Back then, it was my first time taking portraits inside the property. The museum was open to the public that time, and the gardens provided a stunning backdrop for their portraits. The lush greenery, beautiful views, and stunning architecture made for a truly unique and special setting.

Elopement Ceremony at the outdoor grounds of El Morro

Time flew by, and it was almost time to meet with the family at El Morro, so we took a shortcut that led us straight to the fortress.

The fortress provided the perfect backdrop for the couple's intimate and heartfelt ceremony, surrounded by the stunning views of the Atlantic Sea and the iconic walls of the city.

As they exchanged their vows, the love and emotion between them was palpable. The couple's friends and family gathered around them, witnessing the love and commitment they shared, and their smiles and tears of joy only added to the beauty of the day.

They exchanged custom vows, rings, and performed a sand union ritual, after which they were officially married.

Being a part of Chelsea & Stuart's intimate wedding was an absolute honor. Their love, laughter, and joy made for a day that I will never forget, and I am grateful to have captured their memories for them.

I wish the couple all the happiness in the world and hope that their love continues to grow and flourish for many years to come.

Cami

Chelsea's Review

Camille is the "dream team" you'll want to have for your wedding

Camille was the first photographer I came across and I instantly loved her work, but then I got sidetracked and reviewed/contacted half a dozen others... before circling back to her. We are so happy we chose her services in the end!

Camille is professional, prompt and thorough with her communications, and very personable. I loved how detail-oriented and organized everything was leading up to our wedding day. The day of our small family destination wedding went smoothly--per my family's style, we ran a bit behind schedule, and we forgot a few things... like my bouquet--but Cami kept us moving forward in a stress-free manner. During our shoot, she gave us prompts and encouragement, which made our first time doing photos together a breeze, and during our ceremony, we didn't even notice her moving around us. Finally, to our happy surprise, she delivered our album ahead of schedule, and--to no one's surprise--there were more than enough photos to fill our home.

I'm so grateful to have our day captured by Camille. If Stuart didn't insist we keep traveling to new places, I would drag him back every year to PR for photoshoots as our family grows. Thank you so much!
