Picture-Perfect Elopement at El Morro, Old San Juan

Garima & Michael met each other in Art History class. They knew it was meant to be after missing each other so much during a period away on the school break. She loves his goofy personality, he loves her cooking.

Eloping to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

One of their shared passions is travel. After graduating school they started traveling the world together, and in one of those trips they met and fell in love with Puerto Rico: during their first real vacation together as a couple.

When confronted with the process of planning their upcoming wedding, this lovely couple opted for a less traditional route than the big white wedding: they chose to elope. When we met through FaceTime, they stressed that the most important thing for them was having a day that was all about them and their relationship. They wanted photos that really captured the romance and intimacy of their day. Obviously, all those words together make me a very happy photographer, so I immediately was into their event!

Getting Ready and First Look at Villa Herencia Hotel

On the wedding day, we arrived to the quaint Villa Herencia Hotel, a boutique hotel located in the prettiest area of the old city. There I visited G&M while they were getting ready, took detail shots, and got Michael ready for their first look, which took place in the indoor patio of the hotel. After this emotional moment, we all hopped in a cab, and drove to El Morro, where their officiant was already waiting for us for their intimate wedding ceremony. After the ceremony was done, we started strolling through the Old City, with a few important stops to change shoes (always bring flip-flops to relieve tired feet!), and to refresh ourselves with limbers, a traditional frozen treat made of tropical fruit flavors.

It was a picture-perfect, emotional, and delightful day, and I'm beyond happy with the results. Thank you Garima & Michael for inviting me to your intimate wedding day, and I hope the future holds many beautiful adventures ahead for you guys!

XO,

Cami

Garima's Review

I'm so happy I choose Camille to capture our wedding photos! She did an amazing job while dealing with how windy it was that day. She also was the most patient photographer when I needed to change out of my wedding heels to flip flops. My groom and her amazing assistant ran back to our hotel to grab me a pair of flips flops after our wedding ceremony. Not only did she have patience, but her and her assistant, Harold made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.

It's been four months now since I got married and we still look at our wedding pictures in complete awe. If I have to do it all over again I would def choose Camille to be my wedding photographer again.

All in all it felt like she was a friend, who was capturing our special day for us instead of just a photographer doing her job.
