The Most Beautiful Wedding Ever at Hacienda Campo Rico!
This is one of those blog posts that are too image-heavy to have it all on one blog. So today, I'm delighting you with Part One of Two gorgeous blogs on Amanda & Josh's amazing wedding at Hacienda Campo Rico.
In the end of this blogpost, you'll find a link to Part Two.
How They Met, How We Met
These lovebirds stumbled upon each other in such a fated, random way: both new living at NYC, Amanda was lost in the subway and asked Josh for directions. He helped her with directions, but he asked for her number in exchange. They started dating and quickly realized they were meant for each other. This is, probably, the most beautiful thing that has come out of commuting in public transportation.
I met Amanda on her wedding planning trip to Puerto Rico. We actually had our meeting in another venue she was considering at the time, but she told me she was also visiting Hacienda Campo Rico during that trip, and I crossed fingers hoping she went with that one instead. And this is how I landed my first gig at this beautiful venue.
The day was finally here, and I was super excited to start the day with Amanda & Josh. Being a wedding videographer herself, I knew Amanda would be a bride with much attention to visual details, so I had very high expectations on their day. I was not disappointed at all.
Getting Ready Portraits at the Intercontinental Hotel (Royal Sonesta San Juan)
I first met with Josh at his hotel room. There were all the groomsmen, and some other family members, so we decided we should move the party downstairs. We found a cool, shaded spot on the patio, where we did the groom and groomsmen portraits. Next, it was Amanda's turn. With the girls, we had a little more fun in the bridal suite; before I started with the bridal portraits, and eventually, her fascinating first look with her dad. We had another first look pending before the ceremony, but with Josh. It would be happening at the Hacienda, so we hopped in the car and drove to Campo Rico.
First Look at Hacienda Campo Rico
Amanda and Josh wanted to enjoy the event with their family and friends, so they wanted to meet before the Ceremony to get all bride & groom, and group portraits out of the way early. Their first look was beautiful, we chose the second-level terrace for it, and I just loved the rustic, intimate look it had. After some portraits, we did wedding party and family photos. They were gorgeous, and we were ready for the actual event to start.
