A Dreamlike Wedding Day at Hacienda Don Carmelo, Puerto Rico
The charming Astrid and Marcos wedding at Hacienda Don Carmelo was a true pleasure to capture.
Everything flowed smoothly from the moment we arrived, and the guests and vendors enjoyed every moment.
It had been long since my last wedding at the beautiful Hacienda Don Carmelo in Vega Baja, so I was very excited to return.
Astrid and Marcos' wedding was perfect to rekindle my love for this incredible place.
Preparation at the Casita of Hacienda Don Carmelo
The day began in the charming casita of Hacienda Don Carmelo, a versatile and beautiful space for weddings and events. Upon arrival, I strolled around the venue and was delighted to see it looking more stunning than ever.
I went up to the second floor of the casita, where Marcos was quickly getting ready before Astrid arrived, as she would also be using that space to prepare.
For the men, preparation is usually quick as they don't need time for makeup or hairstyling. However, I always recommend trying on the outfit before the wedding day to avoid last-minute surprises, such as poorly tied ties, shirts that don't fit, or pocket squares that don't fold properly.
After finishing their preparations, Marcos, his brother, and his father left the room so Astrid could come up with her entourage and family. Besides photographing the preparation, we felt rushed, so I helped the ladies get ready. At the same time, Astrid prepared before their first look session.
First Look Session and Couple Photos
Astrid and Marcos opted for a first-look session to see each other intimately for the first time without an audience. This moment helps calm the nerves and frees up time for more photos after the ceremony. Seeing their faces light up when they saw each other for the first time was beautiful. The light of that particular moment lasted for the rest of the day.
Wedding Ceremony at Hacienda Don Carmelo
The ceremony took place in the beautiful courtyard of Hacienda Don Carmelo, one of my favorite places for wedding ceremonies in Puerto Rico. This space is spectacular, and Astrid and Marcos' ceremony was extraordinary. Their parents' participation added a personalized and emotional touch that made the event even more significant.
After the ceremony, the guests moved to the gazebo area, where they enjoyed a cocktail with music and refreshing ice creams from Señor Paleta. Meanwhile, we walked around the hacienda to capture more photos of the newlyweds.
The reception was held in the tent' area, decorated with a beautiful rustic-chic style, greenery, and floral details. Before dinner began, there was a set of informal toasts where loved ones expressed their words of love and advice for the couple. After dinner, the party started, lasting all night, with the guests having a great time.
I wish Astrid and Marcos a long and beautiful marriage, as wonderful as their wedding day at Hacienda Don Carmelo. Congratulations!
