Chill Vibes at Mariana and Johnny’s Gorgeous Rincon Wedding

After a vacation in Italy that turned into an engagement trip (yay!), it took me longer than expected to sit down and resume my blogging schedule. Whenever I struggle with sitting down and doing something, I start with a blog that feels so effortless that it seems like it's writing itself. So, today I'm sharing Mariana and Johnny's effortless but gorgeous Rincon wedding.

PUERTO RICO WEDDING DESTINATIONS

Puerto Rico is divided into several districts, all with their beauty and character, making the island a diverse place with different wedding destinations. For example, the metro area is the most populated and busy. Therefore, it is the perfect location for grand wedding venues and elopements with architectural backdrops.

However, the west side is perfect for effortless, laid-back events and beachside elopements. Every time I travel to the west for an event, I know it will be a relaxing day.

RINCON EVENTS AND WEDDINGS

When talking about effortless weddings, the first place that comes to my mind for a laid-back, cozy wedding day is Rincon. Considered the surfer's capital, Rincon is a symbol for bohemian souls with a deep love for the ocean. Because of this, I love Rincon as a destination for weddings and events, and it was an excellent match for Mariana and Johnny's wedding day!

RINCON WEDDING DAY AT HACIENDA MIRAMAR

Mariana and Johnny's was my first wedding at Hacienda Miramar, so I arrived earlier to scout it. As my car went up the hill, my jaw dropped with the 360-degree views. Walking through the venue, the gardens, the pool, and even the interiors were beautiful and well-kept. Anabelle from Stem events worked with the beautiful yellow decor, so I visited a happy and relaxed Mariana in her bridal suite.

I ran upon Johnny, who was walking around running errands, and told him to let me know when he'd be ready for the first look. Although the wedding details looked very fancy, it still felt like a small, familiar event because there was no rush at all. Eventually, we did the groom's portraits. Then I called Mariana to start with their first look and get some couple portraits before their guests arrived.

I prefer to get at least a part of the couple's portraits for micro weddings and smaller events before the ceremony. Unlike more significant events, guests notice the couple's void if we remove them for an extended period after the ceremony.

After we finished their portraits, some of their VIPs started arriving. Instead of going into hiding, Mariana and Johnny hung out and had some pre-game beers with them. Then, it was start time. Everyone sat down at a bright sunny beachfront terrace, where the lovebirds exchanged vows in a relaxing ceremony.

After a short family and then their newlywed session, we moved to the reception. Their first dance happened during sunset, and the sun lit their cute faces. They looked at each other like the luckiest people in the world.

The party started, and the dancefloor was never empty again. Eventually, some guests cooled down by jumping in the pool. I'll admit I was ready to do so too, but I had to drive back to San Juan. However, the beautiful memories of their day kept me company during the commute with the biggest smile on my face. Not as big and bright as Johnny and Mariana's, but almost! May it never goes away.
