Snezhana and Josue, this beautiful met each other at dancing lessons, tropical music uniting them together. They wanted to keep the dancing going, so when they got engaged, they quickly selected the Caribbean islands of Puerto Rico and Hacienda Siesta Alegre as the ideal wedding destination.

Hacienda Siesta Alegre Destination Wedding

Fast forward to their April wedding, it was a bright, warm, and sunny day at Hacienda Siesta Alegre. I got there a few hours before the ceremony so I could meet in person and also photograph both Snezhana and Josue as they got ready for their wedding. Even by meeting them separately, each one on separate rooms for this part, I could see how well their personalities complemented each other's.

First Look Session Before the Ceremony at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

The lovebirds wanted a reveal, better known as a first look session so they could exchange vows with each other without the pressure of having an audience (just the photographer from a considerable distance). They also wanted to get wedding party portraits out of the way before the ceremony, so everyone could enjoy cocktail hour better, freeing more time for newlywed photos after. This turned out wonderfully, since their wedding party was ready early (this doesn't happen often), and the portraits came out great. After a short photo session, I sent the soon-to-be-newlyweds back to the a/c to freshen up until it was time for the ceremony.

The ceremony was a short, meaningful Christian celebration that not only honored Snezhana & Josue's love, but also their merging families and cultures. Even if not intentional, this cultural mix and honor to old traditions and new ones was something very noticeable during the whole event.

The night arrived, and with it, a never-ending fun party full of dancing, laughter, and love.
