Dreamlike Elopement at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Elisha and Kevin are an out-of-the-box couple. They found each other in a non-traditional way, they got engaged at home privately just the two of them, and it only made sense that their wedding was catered to what made them both happy. So, instead of opting for a big wedding, they celebrated an elopement in Hacienda Siesta Alegre. However, they still wanted some "big wedding elements", and that's how we found each other.

Destination Wedding meets Elopement

My fiance and I will be eloping. There will be no guests - just him and I. Therefore, it will be a short day, and it will take place in the middle of the week. We may have a "mini reception" with just the 2 of us, but the total time of everything will be less than 4 hours. Although it will be just he and I we wanted everything to be very beautiful!

Nowadays, elopements are not just walking to city hall and signing a license, they take many shapes and sizes, some elopements looking more like mini-weddings. This was the case of Elisha and Kevin's. They hired me for a full-elopement coverage, consisting of their getting ready, ceremony, and photos until sunset, totaling 3 hours.

On their wedding day, they got ready at separate rooms at the gorgeous wedding venue Hacienda Siesta Alegre Inn. Elisha hired amazing Javier Moreno for her hair and make-up, she looked flawless every second of her day.

During the final touches of her getting ready, Nelson (from NDF Films), and I arrived to capture the day. Both Elisha and Kevin had formal wedding attire, they looked GORGEOUS.

Puerto Rico Elopement Ceremony at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

In their day, we skipped the first look, since it was just the two of them there was no point in adding this part, which usually helps create an additional intimate moment before all the big wedding madness starts. We went straight to the Ceremony, at Hacienda Siesta Alegre. It was a glorious sunset, and so beautiful to see them come together in this intimate and meaningful moment.

After they were declared married, employees of the Hacienda brought them celebratory champagne, so we would do a little toast before going to the photo and video session.

The great thing about having this elopement is that we were able to explore and photograph them at the Hacienda with no time limits or location restraints since there were no crowds to avoid.

We kept on shooting until sundown when we were able to photograph a romantic farewell photo of all the twinkling lights. We left them at their intimate wedding dinner, our hearts very full.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

xo,

Cami
