We did it all backward for Desiree and John. I met them on their wedding day, which was one of my favorite beach weddings ever. A few days after it, they met with me again at the timeless Old San Juan in a sweet afternoon walk for their newlywed photos. 

Their couples portrait session at Old San Juan was perfect. We started in a walk across Paseo La Princesa, walked around the outer walls of the old city, eventually arriving at La Fortaleza and some other iconic locations for photos in Old San Juan. As always, I left my favorite sunset view for last: El Morro Fortress.

Although I don't get to shoot them as often as I get engagement portrait sessions, I love photographing newlywed sessions, as the vibe is entirely different. There is no wedding stress, just bliss, and excitement about the new stage in their lives. 

There are so many favorite images that I had a tough time narrowing them down. Desiree and John are a lovely couple, and I had a blast making beautiful portraits for them. I'm very thankful I got to capture your destination wedding photography, and I hope to have you in front of the lens again. Anniversary pics, maybe?
