Angelica and Matthew’s Engagement Portraits at Old San Juan
Hola! Angelica and Matthew's wedding already happened. Sometimes I skip publishing the engagement photos session if I didn't have the chance to do it before the wedding, but I love this cute set of them.
ON THE FENCE ABOUT HAVING AN ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS SESSION?
A few months before their wedding, they scheduled a short trip to Puerto Rico so they could finalize many details on their wedding day. You know, the usual: cake and catering tastings, meetings with the wedding planner, final decor decisions. In their case, we were also able to schedule their hair and make-up trial appointment and their engagement photos session. Happy me!
Having a pre-wedding or engagement pictures session with your wedding photographer doesn't always feel necessary or the best budget decision. But, in my experience, it's one of the moments couples enjoy the most during their wedding planning stage. Many clients (not being professional models) worry about how they'd look on their wedding portraits. I remind them that making them look good is MY job and that they should only worry about being in love with each other. But sometimes, having a portrait session before the wedding day is the perfect way to build trust and makes all photography-related worries disappear.
OLD SAN JUAN ENGAGEMENT PORTRAITS
So Angélica, Matthew, and I met in Old San Juan, where we walked all over town for the best spots that matched their wardrobe, their photo wishlist, and mine. We started through the cobblestone streets full of colorful houses. We made a short stop at La Factoría for a yummy cocktail and finished off at El Morro Fortress for sunset. It was a beautiful session. I loved how comfortable and lovey-dovey they looked. Can't wait to show you their wedding!
Xo,
