A Happy Day in Old San Juan!

Although they have Puerto Rican roots, Zully and Javier don't live on the Island. That's why, for their engagement session, they wanted something that reminded them of Puerto Rico. This shoot was done at Old San Juan, El Morro, and the ocean!

A Stroll Around the Colorful Streets of Old San Juan for an Engagement Session

Our afternoon started doing my alley tour, where I take clients to get some vintage colorful Old San Juan photos without the tourists and traffic getting in the way. It was quite a walk! It was good that Zully scheduled her H&M trial with the amazing Nicole Rodz for that day, she put the hair and make-up to the test. Needless to say, she looked gorgeous through the whole session.

When doing your engagement session in Old San Juan, a lot of walking is to be expected. Streets vary in inclination, and most are covered with cobblestone, making them gorgeous but also unsteady to walk in high heels.

Tip: for your session, bring heels that are easy to put on and off, as well as flip-flops. This will save a lot of time, and also protect your feet and safety while walking around.

Zully was smart and did just that!

Couple Photos in El Morro Puerto Rico

After our alley tour, we walked towards El Morro fortress for the final part of the session. However, I've always wanted to do a trail that takes you down the cliff around the fortress. Zully and Javier looked like the perfect, up-for-anything couple to take there (as I had never been there myself), and so we did. I ended the portrait session with some of my favorite sets ever in Old San Juan.

I'm happy I got to capture these happy memories, as well as their wedding's. Can't wait to share them, but until then, I hope you enjoy these!!

XO,

Cami
