Hey there! Today I'm sharing with you the delightful set of Yan & Wencheng's San Juan pre-wedding photoshoot. In many Asian cultures, couples on vacation travel with a secondary, western-style wedding outfit prior to their wedding for a photo session on their destination. This was the case of Yan and Wencheng.

San Juan Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

Yan and Wencheng met with me wearing beautiful, classical wedding attire. It's important to say that walking through Old San Juan wearing a bridal dress and a suit or tux could be a painful and sweaty situation that can be manageable if we plan it well.

First off, high heels should be avoided, unless you bring a pair of flip-flops for changing when we'll walk. Second, the session should be right after sunrise, or right before sunset, when the climate is a bit more temperate. This was exactly what we did with Y&W, and we were able to photograph them in many scenic spots without getting tired. Eventually, we changed outfits to a lighter look before moving out to the beach for their engagement session.

Minutes before sunset, we did a second set at the beach area, where the beautiful duo showed off their fun and goofy sides. We had so much fun running and playing around, and ended the session sitting down by the sea, watching the golden sun go down after finishing off a very successful afternoon.
