I first met Sarah and Tomas and Sarah's parents during their planning trip to Puerto Rico. They were organizing their dream destination wedding at the enchanting Hacienda Siesta Alegre. This venue perfectly embodies the romance and beauty of Puerto Rico.

Our initial meeting was focused on discussing the timeline for their big day, but it quickly became apparent how much I was going to enjoy working with this lovely couple.

Their shy yet warm personalities immediately won me over. I couldn't wait to capture their special day at Siesta Alegre.

The Magic Begins: Getting Ready at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

On the wedding day, I arrived at Siesta Alegre a few hours before the ceremony, eager to capture the details unfolding in this stunning setting. Sarah and her bridesmaids were staying at a hotel in San Juan, and a bit of traffic on the way to the hacienda meant I had extra time with Tomas and his groomsmen.

The day was bright and sunny, a perfect backdrop for the portraits we took around the lush, vibrant grounds of one of Puerto Rico's best wedding venues.

Capturing Every Detail: The Bride's Preparation

When Sarah and her bridesmaids finally arrived, the energy shifted as the day's excitement became tangible. Sarah was meticulous with the details, which showed in her preparation.

I loved capturing those intimate moments as she got ready, each shot reflecting her calm yet joyful demeanor. The room was filled with light, laughter, and anticipation, making every photo truly special.

Once Sarah was ready, it was time for the First Look. We brought Tomas over, and the moment their eyes met, their connection was undeniable. Their faces lit up with joy, and the serene beauty of Hacienda Siesta Alegre provided the perfect backdrop for these touching moments.

We spent a few minutes capturing a couple of portraits and videos, making the most of the hacienda's picturesque surroundings before heading to the ceremony.

Following the ceremony and group portraits, we took a leisurely stroll around Siesta Alegre for one last round of newlywed photos. The sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the hacienda, and the lighting was perfect.

Before the reception began, I took a moment to capture the stunning botanical décor that adorned the tables. The attention to detail was impeccable, creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere.

The evening's festivities kicked off with a beautifully choreographed first dance by the newlyweds, followed by a dinner that was as delightful as the setting. As the night progressed, the party became one for the books—filled with dancing, live pleneros, shots, and even a sparkler exit.

Not even a little rain could dampen the spirits at Sarah and Tomas's wedding. It was a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments, and I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.
