Beach Wedding at Villa Carambola Airbnb, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

Have you ever met a couple and instantly knew that they're a perfect match for each other? This is exactly what happened to me at Molly and Joe's destination wedding at Villa Carambola in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

A Laid-back Destination Wedding at Villa Carambola

Molly and Joe's wedding day was something that they and their loved ones had been eagerly awaiting for years, but it had been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, despite the challenges and setbacks, the day finally arrived and it was filled with emotions, joy, and laughter. But it also had such a relaxed vibe, that felt almost therapeutic.

When I arrived, some of their guests were lounging by the pool; others, reading a book and enjoying a drink, it felt like crashing the most relaxing Caribbean vacation. Not a bit of wedding-related stress in sight.

Molly and Joe were in their rooms, getting ready. I met them separately for their portraits before the ceremony.

I'm a little bit of a prankster, so I love when couples take opportunities to add some humor during otherwise-stuffy moments of their wedding day. For example, Molly greeted Joe inside a T-Rex suit. I could barely keep it together as she walked towards him, and he laughed so hard when she saw her.

Pro-tip: instruct a friend on how to remove a Dinosaur suit before actually performing the prank. It's not fun to be stuck in that costume in 100-degree weather.

After their casual first look session, we moved towards the ceremony are on the cliffside deck. The ceremony was equal parts emotional, romantic, and so goofy.

It was clear that they had a deep connection and I felt grateful that they had found each other.

Another of my favorite moments was when a friend recited a letter from Molly and Joe's dog.

There was a live painter that spent all night finishing a frame of their first kiss, a great keepsake.

Finally, after the toasts and dinner, eventually everyone went upstairs, changed and jumped on the pool for a night swim.

It was truly a celebration of life and love, and I was honored to be a part of it.

It was a beautiful day and I felt glad to witness the love and happiness that Molly and Joe shared with each other and with their nearest and dearest.

xo,

Cami
