Destination Wedding Photography at Wyndham Rio Mar

Something Jakie and Mohammed always said is that they really wanted the ocean in their pictures. Wyndham Rio Mar was the perfect setting for their destination wedding. Even from the getting ready suites you could already listen and smell the ocean breeze.

Mohammed was doing some errands around the hotel, so I got to Jakie's room first. There she was with her Mom and her bridesmaids, which were ready and very excited to start with the pictures! Not only I was able to do candids and accessory photos, but also we had a great portrait session with everyone.

When Jakie finished with her hair and makeup, we got her Dad in the room for an exceptional first look between the two of them. After that, I moved on to Mo's room for some portraits of him and his immediate family. When finished with the groom's pictures it was just about time for the Ceremony, so we walked out to the beach area, took our shoes off, and got ready!

Beautiful Beach Wedding Ceremony

Jakie's an amazing dancer, so she decided for her and her bridal party to make quite an entrance: dancing! This set the mood for the rest of the wedding day, which was filled with people from -literally- all over the world.

Their ceremony was beautiful, emotive, and full of laughter. There was a particular moment I loved when the couple took a minute of silence to just "feel it all". After the first kiss, everyone went out to the deck area for cocktail hour, while we captured the most beautiful sunset photos around the beach area.

After the photos, the reception started, and we had the most beautiful and amazing party under the stars. We literally danced the night away. And no words will ever do justice, so I'll just share the pictures now. Thanks, Jakie & Mo, you were amazing from the first moment to the very last.
