Laid-back beach elopement at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort
So, the story of Caren & Cal is that they originally weren't getting married that day. They were just coming over to Puerto Rico for a family vacation in which they were going to celebrate the birthday to Caren's mom.
Somewhere along the way they talked about using the opportunity to tie the knot while they were here, because, come on... who wouldn't? Their dearest members of the family would be there, including the rabbi which could perform the ceremony... So they just had to hire the catering of the Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort, and a wedding photographer! Cal contacted me about two weeks before the big day, and of course I was totally into the idea of capturing while they hijacked their family reunion.
Jewish Micro-Wedding Ceremony at Wyndham Beach Resort, Puerto Rico
The day arrived, and this is how it went: they both met with me an hour before their ceremony so we could take their portraits. We walked all over the resort -which is probably one of my favorites because of all the beautiful scenery-, and got back just in time for their intimate but beautiful jewish ceremony, all in the same deck they were having a celebratory dinner afterwards. Pretty simple, eh? C&C were such a fun, goofy, and laid-back couple... which is always refreshing and totally necessary to break the routine from orchestrated and sometimes overly-planned wedding days. I loved every minute of this day and I'm glad I got to capture it for you! Warm wishes and hope to have you again in front of the lens!
XO,
