I was scrolling through my blog and I noticed it has been a long time since I posted a Hacienda Siesta Alegre wedding. Being one my favorite wedding venues in Puerto Rico -and one of my most visited-, I've always felt compelled to blog them first, so I started intentionally blogging other weddings as well.

I met Madeline and Erick like I meet most of my destination wedding clients: over a facetime call. It was not until their wedding week when we met in person for their engagement photos in Old San Juan. They were charming! I immediately fell in love with how sweet and nice they were, their wedding plans, and the vendor team they have put together. It felt like it was going to be a perfect wedding day, and I was not disappointed!

Madeline and Erick were a detail-oriented couple, so I arrived extra early for their getting ready so I could work on a lot of stationery, decor and accessories photos before I proceeded to the "usual" getting ready pictures. Madeline and her bridesmaids looked amazing, so we went outside for a while to do portraits around the hacienda before I moved on to Erick and the boys. It was a BIG wedding party, so there were a lot of portraits done.

First Look Session and Bride and Groom Portraits in Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Madeline and Erick set apart a time for meeting each other privately for a first look session, and I'm so glad they did because it was very emotional and photographically beautiful. She had the biggest smile ever, and Erick couldn't hold his tears back. As he said a couple times during the day, he felt like the luckiest man alive.

That day, the Hacienda was in full bloom, so their portrait session was all the more magical. There were a lot of portraits to be done, so we moved onto a shaded area (it was still early), for the wedding party and immediate family group portraits, after which we finally moved onto the ceremony area. It was the dreamiest ceremony ever, and we couldn't help but swoon at how cute Erick was with Madeline. She was truly the queen of his world. They were gorgeous, and my heart was singing!

After the I do's, I moved on to the lawn this time for an extended family group portrait session, while my assistant was capturing the decor. Just in time for sunset, the dinner and protocol started, and the party started right away! By the end of the night, we were able to convince the hacienda owners that the newlyweds were sober enough to climb all the way to the top of the hacienda for one last portrait, while their guests were cheering them from below!

It was a beautiful, swoon-worthy marathon of love, laughter, dancing and twinkling lights. It doesn't get better than that.
