Hello there! Today I'm sharing this beautiful set of Cory & Susana's gorgeous pre wedding photoshoot in Luquillo Beach, Puerto Rico.

Just like me, they're Team 2024! When they booked me for their upcoming destination wedding in Puerto Rico, we also talked about their first wedding planning trip in the next months. It would happen on the same days that I would be out in New York City for a portrait session. 

The only time that we would coincide was on sunrise the day of their trip back home, which was the morning after my return.

We decided to meet on their neck of the woods, so they could go back and rest, check out and leave for the airport more seamlessly. And boy, was it worth it!

Pre Wedding Engagement Photos in Luquillo Beach, Puerto Rico

Cory & Susana's engagement session was my first time on this part of the Luquillo coast, known by locals as Playa Punta Bandera. I've done portraits in Playa Escondida, Playa Azul, and Playa Monserrate, but I have to say this is a new favorite for its ease of access, natural views, and calm, safer waters.

During our early morning session, we were chattier than usual, which was a great sign. I love pre-wedding sessions because they serve as an ice-breaker and trust-builder throughout the wedding planning journey.

We talked about all things Puerto Rico, nature, adventures, and travel, all of which are shared passions between them and me. After we had explored the different portions of the beach, I suggested we walked into the calm waters for a second set, it was lovely!

The sun started going up with all its Caribbean intensity, something I'd missed on my few days in a rainy New York, and we decided it was a great point to end their photoshoot. 

I'm so excited about their wedding, can't wait to celebrate together and create more beautiful memories for you!
