Certain milestones in love feel even more special when shared, and this Condado Ocean Club wedding was one of them. I had the honor of photographing not just one vow renewal, but two, in the same ceremony: a pair of in-laws celebrating 30 and 20 years of marriage. It was twice the joy, twice the love, and such a beautiful testament to family and commitment.

The celebration began on the Condado Ocean Club’s oceanfront terrace, one of the most stunning outdoor wedding venues in San Juan. With the ocean waves as music in the background and the golden sun shining over Condado’s skyline, each couple took turns renewing their vows.

What struck me most was the way they looked at each other as they repeated their promises. After years together, you see the resilience in their stories, the way they’ve weathered challenges and chosen each other again and again. It’s always moving to witness what couples choose to include in their vows after a lifetime of shared memories.

Once the vows were spoken, the group celebrated with smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears. The portraits that followed were my favorite part of the day. We walked along the beach as the golden hour light wrapped around us, creating images that were soft, romantic, and glowing with the energy of the ocean. These portraits reflected exactly what vow renewals are about: honoring the past while stepping forward with joy.

My evening with this family ended at their intimate reception at Social, the restaurant inside Condado Ocean Club. Their tables were set with tropical simplicity, glasses clinked, and the sound of laughter filled the room as they celebrated not just the couples but the family they’ve built together.

As I photographed this day, I am reminded that love is always worth celebrating: in the big beginnings, in the quiet in-betweens, and in the milestones that mark the journey. This double vow renewal was a powerful reminder that commitment is not just about one wedding day, but also about the many times we choose each other, over and over again.
