An Intimate Destination Wedding at El Escambrón Beach Club, Puerto Rico

There’s something special about small weddings where everyone knows each other, laughs together, and celebrates love in its purest form. Yanai and Oscar’s destination wedding at El Escambrón Beach Club in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, was one of those days that reminded me why I adore photographing intimate celebrations.

We started the afternoon at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Condado, where both Yanai and Oscar got ready surrounded by family and friends. The rooms were full of excitement and anticipation—the kind that’s unique to destination weddings when loved ones have traveled from far away to witness your big day.

As the sun began to lower over San Juan, we headed to the beachfront patio of El Escambrón Beach Club, one of the most scenic spots for a beach wedding in Puerto Rico. The ceremony took place with the Caribbean Sea as the backdrop, soft ocean breeze in the air, and the sound of waves marking every word of their vows. It was intimate, emotional, and heartfelt—a true reflection of who they are as a couple.

After they exchanged rings and happy tears, we moved into family portraits by the beach, making the most of that golden hour glow. The joy and closeness of the group were contagious—these are the moments that make small destination weddings so meaningful to capture.

Before the light faded completely, we drove to El Morro for a few newlywed portraits, followed by a quick stroll through the colorful streets of Old San Juan. Between laughter, hugs, and candid in-between moments, we filled the gallery with images that told their story exactly as it unfolded: natural, timeless, and full of love.

Back at El Escambrón Beach Club, the celebration continued with a laid-back dinner, music, and a view of the twinkling coastline of San Juan. Yanai and Oscar’s Puerto Rico destination wedding was everything a photographer could dream of—warm people, a beautiful setting, and a couple madly in love.

Even after all these years, some of the images from this day remain among my favorites.

Yanai's Review

Camille was very professional, on time and friendly. I felt very comfortable with her around. The only thing I would suggest to brides is to be on time to get maximum picture quality for your time. I only had her services for 6 hours and had a 4:30 ceremony that started 30 mins late. We were pressured for daylight remaining time and Of all the poses I requested, only the family pics actually happened. This wasn't her fault at all, just pointing out the time issue as it will effect your time for pictures; shoots usually take longer than anticipated..Camille was amazing and a great value compared to other photographers. we definitely have some great pictures thanks to her!
