Rhisa & Rohan’s Super Simple but Super Meaningful Wedding Day

I met Rhisa and Rohan twice before their wedding day. Once via video call, and once while they were in Puerto Rico scouting for wedding venues. At each of our exchanges, I could easily see their kindness and laid-back personalities. They didn't want anything too big, their priority was to celebrate their love and support for each other surrounded by their loved ones. And they did.

My day started at Rhisa's room, photographing all the details and accessories while her make-up was finished. Since I was a little early, I walked downstairs to the ballroom so I could capture some ambient and decor photos before visiting Rohan. He was all ready when I got to him, and the day was so beautiful we moved out for his portraits with his groomsfolk (my gender-neutral name for a mixed groom party). After having some fun in the sun we got a bit hot, so they moved back indoors for a drink before I went back to the bridal room.

Rhisa was ready, beautiful, glowing in a room full of loved ones when I arrived. We went straight to portraits of her and her loved ones until it was time for me to go downstairs for the ceremony.

Without knowing them for a long time, you can really see and feel they are one of those couples that had grown together, been through trials together, and they went into this new commitment in a mindful and mature way. Their ceremony was so beautiful and emotional, there was not a dry eye in the room.

The ceremony was indoors, which was a good choice for an August wedding, a particularly hot month in Puerto Rico. Originally we'd planned on walking to the beach, but the heat quickly made the couple change their mind about it. After they were officially married, we ventured out into the beautiful gardens in Gallery Plaza for the portraits. After a few minutes of fun in the sun, we went back in for the toasts, dances, and the amazing party! I think this story is better told by pictures, so I'll leave you guys to it.

Rhisa & Rohan: thanks for inviting me, making me feel a part of your family and friends, and for trusting me with the memories of your best day ever!

Cheers,

Cami
