The Perfect Boho Destination Wedding at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Today, let's take a nostalgic trip back to the beginning of 2020. While it wasn't too long ago, doesn't it feel like those were simpler times?

Stephanie and Gregory were my first couple of the year, and their enchanting wedding at the stunning Hacienda Siesta Alegre remains one of my all-time favorites. I am thrilled to finally share their beautiful day with you!

Slow and Laid-Back Wedding Day at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Stephanie and Gregory chose to forgo a traditional wedding party, which set a wonderfully intimate and relaxed tone for the day. My day began early in the afternoon, capturing the exquisite foliage decor adorned with elegant white and golden accents.

Stephanie was getting ready at a nearby hotel, arriving at the wedding venue with her hair and makeup beautifully done. After capturing some stunning bridal portraits, I moved to Gregory's suite to document his final moments of preparation before their first look session.

Custom, Private Vow Exchange before the Ceremony

In a heartfelt twist, Stephanie and Gregory shared their custom vows privately during their first look session rather than during the ceremony. I love couples exchanging gifts, letters, or vows during this intimate moment. It creates a smooth and emotional transition, adding a personal touch before diving into their portrait session.

Following their emotional exchange, we embarked on a short portrait session around the hacienda. We started at the iconic bridge and approached the bridal suite just as guests began to arrive.

Rainy Day Wedding at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Given the unpredictable rainforest weather, a rain forecast loomed over the day. Stephanie and Gregory held their ceremony on the roofed terrace by the bridge to play it safe, a popular Plan B option at Hacienda Siesta Alegre. Their beautiful setup proved that sometimes Plan B can be just as magical as Plan A.

Though the rain held off, the terrace ceremony was so enchanting that no one missed the usual altar. After being pronounced husband and wife, we captured family and group portraits, followed by another set of newlywed pictures around the breathtaking Hacienda Siesta Alegre.

The entire newlywed session was so natural and effortless that I finished early, leaving the couple to enjoy their time with the video team while I photographed the decor and prepared for the reception.

The reception unfolded as seamlessly as the rest of the day. I had such a wonderful time capturing this wedding and am delighted to share it with you. Enjoy the beautiful memories!

Stephanie's Review

Hire Camille!!

Camille was the best photographer ever! When we started planning the wedding we knew we had to hire Camille. Her photographer was so beautiful and she was the first vendor we hired. Communication with her was also quick and helpful. On the day of she made us feel comfortable which helped us to be ourselves in the photos. We didn't even know she was there half of the time. She delivered our photos so quickly and we couldn't be happier with them. She captured the best day of our lives perfectly and we are so grateful for that.
