La Lanterna: Dreamy Destination Wedding at Old San Juan

On countless occasions, I've been -respectfully- walked out of La Lanterna Restaurant because I've walked into their interior patio with engagement session clients to try to sneak a photo there. The reason is: their interior garden is totally dreamy! So when Natalia texted me she was getting married there, I was super excited!

Destination Micro Wedding at La Lanterna Old San Juan

Natalia and Jesse's microwedding at La Lanterna Puerto Rico had a short coverage, but somehow I still managed to capture a full day's worth of pictures for them. My day started at Hotel El Convento for Natalia's gorgeous getting ready portraits, after which I walked a few blocks to meet with Jesse at Cigar House, where he was with his father and best man, all enjoying a celebratory cigar before the ceremony. It was almost time for the ceremony to start, so I walked back to La Lanterna Viejo San Juan to set up.

Notice that I use the verb "walk" everywhere in this wedding blog post. It is because on Old San Juan is more easily accessible by foot, as there is always traffic in the Old City. When making your wedding plans always account for traffic and parking lot distances, as well. Sometimes you'll end up figuring out the easiest choice will either be walking or a share ride service.

Small Wedding Ceremony at La Lanterna San Juan

There was no wedding planner this time. So when I got everything set up, I called Natalia to give her the cue. She would be walking down the street from Hotel El Convento to the restaurant's interior patio, where we were all waiting for her. It was a beautiful day, and although it threatened to rain a bit earlier, the weather calmed down just in time for the Ceremony.

After the vows and rituals, Natalia and Jesse were officially married: we went quickly for the family and group portraits before we snuck out of the restaurant for a short newlywed portrait session around Old San Juan's most beautiful streets.

Hope you enjoy this set!

Cami
