Two Lovebirds on Anniversary: Puerto Rico Vacation Portraits

Hello! Today I'm sharing a lovely portrait photography session I've been crazy to show you guys about. Every year, Nicole and Andre travel for their anniversary and have a photo session to remember the trip by. They contacted me a few months before their anniversary trip to Puerto Rico for their photoshoot at the Condado Vanderbilt hotel.

Glamourous Vacation Photos in Puerto Rico

I service a lot of couples sessions and compared to weddings, they require much looser planning, and usually have a casual vibe to them. Adding that to the fact that I avoid social-media-stalking my couples (so I arrive at the set with no expectations), I had no idea of what Nicole and Andre would look like. So, when I saw that gorgeous couple dressed in a blue sequin gown and a suit & tie, my. Jaw. Just. Dropped.

Since that last hour before sunset is the most flattering lighting for outdoor portraits, we started the photoshoot indoors in the beautiful lobby, hallways, and gardens of the hotel. When we finished with this part, I hid all my indoor lighting kit, and we moved out into the beach. There, the portrait photography shoot took a more candid look, and I let them enjoy a moment together from the distance, while we witnessed the most beautiful sunset. Perfect day.

Nicole's Review

Beautiful Spirit!!!

I love everything about Camille! My husband and I have a tradition of renewing our vows every year on our anniversary in a different location. Sometimes though, that is hard to communicate to vendors. We typically only need an hour of coverage but don't want to sacrifice our firstborn to do it. 🙂

After explaining this to Camille, she smiled (I'm assuming because although I didn't see her when she responded, she's ALWAYS smiling) and said "perfect!"

Normally, I am over the top and very "hands-on" with vendors, but not once did I have second thoughts about her and her abilities. On the day of the shoot, she arrived early, greeted us with a smile, and allowed us to be "us." We typically don't need a lot of direction and she quickly picked up on that.

The images she captured were breathtaking. I'm still smiling after looking at our gallery about 264 times.

Thank you SO much, Cami! You're a forever friend of ours!
