Chic Destination Wedding at Old San Juan & Fraternidad AFDA

Even though Jorge is Puerto Rican and Liz is Mexican, they met while living/studying abroad. More than a year ago, I met them through a Skype call, which I often use to communicate with destination wedding clients. Immediately, I could see their awesome personalities, and ever since I was looking forward to their big day.

Being specialized in hacienda weddings, most of my events are all held in one place. This was not "the usual": we had separate venues for preparation, ceremony and reception with an additional stop at Old San Juan for their newlywed photo session. Big weddings like these are really exciting -and healthy exercise- to keep my creativity flowing!

The day started off at the gorgeous Marriott Resort at Condado, where I visited Liz while she and her gorgeous bridesmaids were getting ready. I really loved the pink & purple color scheme for the wedding, and all the details Liz put together for her big day.

Afterwards, we went to Jorge's room, where I took a few shots of his last moments as a single man.

I loved his relaxed look! The best man gave a very emotive toast to commemorate this new stage Jorge would start soon. They offered my assistant and me to participate in the toast, but I convinced everybody they didn't want blurry, tilted images. 😛

Back to Liz's room, she was almost ready! Everybody was excited to cooperate and be part of the photo-op!

I loved the Church Liz & Jorge selected for their wedding. Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Socorro had bautiful lightning, and was relatively near from the reception venue.

After the ceremony, the wedding party escaped with us to Old San Juan, where we had about half hour of pictures by La Rogativa and surrounding areas.

I hope you've enjoyed this set as much as I did capturing it! May God continue to bless your union, and I hope to see you again in PR!
