Alexis & Jackson flew all the way from New York with their closest family and friends to celebrate their destination wedding at San Juan, Puerto Rico. I met them at their hotel rooms so I could document their getting ready time, which got extended while the hotel made arrangements for an indoor ceremony.
Originally it was set to happen in the outdoor terrace, but due to unusual rain patterns, it had to be done indoors. This is one of the pros of having your wedding done in a hotel, they will take care of everything and will have backup plans set out in case the weather is not helping enough.
After the ceremony and formal images, cocktail time started. I don’t always have the chance to taste the food, but this time I did and it was GREAT! Afterwards, the Reception started and it hosted every single emotion you could imagine. The night started very emotive with beautiful toasts and speeches that made even the photographer tear out… But then the mom & daughter dance (that started off as a ballad) quickly turned into an epic dance contest to the tune of “Watch Me (Nae Nae)”, which gave the start to an awesome party that never stopped. Props to DJ Eric on that!
Everything was really happy, festive and emotive, and I’m really happy to have been part of such a beautiful evening. I wish you both the best of lives together in happy marriage, and hope to have you back again at Puerto Rico (anniversary pics, maybe?) 😀
