Jamie and Arika’s Romantic Sunrise Beach Elopement

What I love about elopement photography is that, in their simplicity, what shines is the love between the couple. This was the case of Jamie and Arika's, who shared their vows in the intimacy of the officiant, their kid, the morning birds, and me. I love the idea of starting a new day and a new stage in a relationship at the same time.

Old San Juan Same-Sex Beach Elopement

I woke up pretty early, met with the amazing wedding officiant Ana María and we watched the sunrise over the ocean. Right after that, the wedding party of three arrived at the beach. We walked a bit along the coast to find the perfect spot, dropped our bags and started the ceremony.

During the customized ceremony, the brides exchanged beautiful vows, had a meditation moment as a family, and spoke words of love and affirmation for the three of them. Afterwards, we walked around the beach and did some portraits there and then took an uber to the colonial area of Old San Juan for a second set before we parted ways for breakfast!

Hope you enjoy this speedy but lovely photo set.
