Today I'm taking a break of weddings and sharing a happy short blog feature. Abhijeet contacted me three months before their trip to Puerto Rico, to ask about proposing to his lovely girlfriend. We quickly started talking about great locations for proposals in Puerto Rico, and about logistics.

Abhijeet quickly decided upon proposing at El Morro on sunset. As the couple traveled amongst a group of over 20 friends and family members, he decided to make them a part of the moment. When I arrived 15 minutes before the appointment time, I greeted a group of his friends who had come set up some balloons and a "Will you marry me?" sign.

The rest of the entourage was walking towards us with the lovely couple. Kshitija had no idea that people were purposedly staying behind to give them space for the proposal, and before she knew it, Abhijeet was down on one knee. After the initial shock, she said yes, and we all went to congratulate them.

After some necessary calls, and a celebratory group photo, I took the newly engaged couple to a tour along the outside trails of El Morro Fortress, where we lost track of time and the gate was closed on us by the time we planned on finishing the portraits. Oops!

We made the walk back through Paseo del Morro, which is a long walk, but so worth it as we got to know each other, have a great time, and capture some beautiful sunset pictures before we made it back to the rest of the group.
